A fun weekend

We had a good time this past weekend. We took my mom out to lunch at Santiago's in Lincoln Center since we hadn't seen her in quite a long time, during which Justin got to go to a birthday party of one of his classmates from this past year (3rd grade). After picking him up we headed south to Manteca to spend the evening with Lisa's step-moms family; it was her auth Cheryl's 50th birthday party. We all had a great time.

Sunday we decided, spur-of-the-moment to go and check out the San Joaquin County Fair as it was the last day of it this year. HPSJ has been sponsoring many of the events there throughout the years. It was fun but quite expensive.

Lisa's been doing much better. Less nausious, but still quite tired regularly. To think we're one-third the way to baby time. Wow.

Back in action...

So we're back from a really great honeymoon. On Wednesday May 21st, we flew from Sacramento Intl. to Honolulu and stayed for three nights in the tower at the Royal Hawaiian with an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. During that time we rented mopeds and rode to Hanama Bay where we snorkled, saw lots of neat fish, and my ankle almost got eaten by an eel. We did lot of walking, eating, and shopping around Wikiki, and spent a good amount of time just in the ocean that backs up to the hotel.

That following Saturday we boarded the NCL Pride of America where we enjoyed a balcony stateroom on the 9th deck. We'd ordered the 'deluxe romance package' so we arrived to lots of 'Congratulations!' signs and confetti throughout the room, a bottle of champeign and chocolate covered cherries! The cruise was 7 days longs: we spent a full day, and night in Maui, a day in Hilo where we toured the Mauna Loa macadamian nut factory, then Volcano National Park and got to see the lava flows that night from the ship on our way to Kona (where yes we bought coffee :o), then on to another full day, and night in Kauai. Kauai was absolutely beautiful. We rented a 2-man kayak and paddled out into the bay, where we saw a freakin sea turtle in the wild. By the last day we were 'SICK of paradise' (that was our motto) and spent the day in our cabin renting movies and just chillin'. We had a safe trip back on Hawaiian airlines and were very happy to be home and get back to our routine.

This past weekend we watched (you can't really baby-sit a 16 year old) Tegan while Jasona and Stacie we're off doing something.

In other news we're offically preggers. Yep. I know. Wtf. :o) The earlier post, appropriately marked with a '+' indicated the evening we found out and we were out to celebrate. We're 9 weeks along and just got the first sonogram on Friday. Pretty wild. More to come on this topic. :o)
