It seems like it's been a long time since my last blog, but there's nothing major to report. We finished the cleaning up of the downstairs bedroom, and it's kind-of become the weight/excercise room. I've been abstaining from cycling lately trying to put on some weight. Though I still love cycling, I need to find a balance between the endurance cardio and weight training; one where I don't have the physique of a twig. ;o) It's just been protein overload lately.

I've stained and refinished basically all my bedroom furniture and finally have what's starting to look like a normal bedroom again.

I brought home the desktop computer from the apartment last week, but it died somewhere along the way. Vibration damage or something, who knows. I had it stripped down to just the mobo, CPU and PSU. I was getting a green LED on the mobo, but the power button wasn't doing anything. Long story short, I learned that Antec PSUs are kind-of ass, and I upgraded to an Enermax Liberty 500w and it worked like a charm. Unfortunately during the diagnostic I reset the BIOS which subsequently borked out the RAID array, so I spent the majority of my Saturday rebuilding the array.

I just had a chat with Ryan who's been in D.C. manning a booth for his company at a pharmacy expo of sorts. Sounds like he's seen some pretty neat sights there, good food, and room sorbice; he sent me a pretty cool pic of the WWII Memorial. He's flyin back tomorrow morning.

Umm that's about it; goin' to check out the Lodi Street Faire tomorrow morning.

Labor Day Weekend

It's been a busy four-day labor day weekend. This week uncle Eddie got sick and has been in the hospital for the past several days. Friday I took mom to visit him, and the rest of the family there; hit status hasn't been very good, and has fluctuated day by day.

Friday I also seriously embarked on the cleaning up of dad's old bedroom, and went through every picece of paper and items, and either shreaded or packed it. We also had a plumber come Friday and fix a leak in the wall in that room, and I spent most of Saturday installing and texturing new dry-wall over the the repaired drain pipe. Today, Sunday, I took mom to Lowe's where we selected new carpet, padding, and paint for the bedroom, and I spent most of the evening repainting the ceiling. Tomorrow, if the ceiling looks good I'll begin painting the walls and trim.

I also picked up some woodstain to revive my old, but still good furniture. But that will be a (much) later project. :o)

Ooo, it should also be noted that I got the Pilot back and it looks great. Absolutely no complaints as far as I can tell.
