Friday night Eighmee and I stayed the night at her parents house. We house sat while they were up at Lake Almanor. Overall uneventful. Saturday was the Hunt Picnic. Eighmee stayed home and I drove in the for the picnic. Pretty bland overall. Mike and Alex are in Europe. We had some good eats at the party. Most people focused on Bella when Jennifer arrived with her. Mom, Marsha, Jen and I all went to Funderwoods at Micky's Grove and took Bella on a couple of the rides. Sunday we didn't do much. I've almost beat Psi-Ops on Ultra difficulty on the XBox. Eighmee camped an IDOC in UO with a friend for about four hours, then I headed to Safeway for gas and groceries. We made tacos for dinner. Ryan was over playing Guild Wars in the evening, then we watched the first half of Forest Gump while we ate. Now off to bed. Should be a busy week at work (new fiscal year come July 1st, and I have some new software we're going to be testing this week (DRE Imaging) for production use next week.

I had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday a.m. I got a call from Mike who said he's leaving for Europe on Monday (today), and wants to be able to e-mail Jennifer, but his computer is riddled with spyware and pop-ups galore. So I headed over about 10am and started to work. It took about 5 runs of AdAware, 2 runs of SpyBot Search and Destroy, about an hour for Windows Critical Updates and SP2 installation, Mike Lins badass StartUp management program, about 10 reboots, and several manual hacks, but I fairly certainly ridded his machine of spyware, toolbars, and the like. For my bravery I was awarded a pretty good turkey cobb sandwich from some deli in the greater Lodi area.
Sunday morn is / was fathers day. Eighmee and I got up around 9am, and after a while I headed to the mall to get Grandpa a giftcard for Macy's and a Hallmark card. I got back, signed the card and we hopped in the car. We had a nice party including grandma, grandpa, mom, Marsha, Justin and his new girlfriend (Jessie I think her name was), Ed, Mike, Jen, Alex, Bella, grandma Jean, and of course Eighmee and me. Sat in the sun a bit. Grandma Jean pitched in for chicken, ribs and pesto pasta from the Waterloo Inn restaraunt. Just a generally cool time.
Eighmee and I came back home just for a bit before heading back out, and up to Valley Springs for fathers day. There we sat around and chatted about movies and recent happenings, etc. We again had chicken and ribs for dinner, then watched Dodgeball on DVD.
From what I understand Ryan should be heading back home either tonight or tomorrow. The wedding he attended went pretty well other than the grooms mom aparently breaking her wrist and missing the event. (man, that's gotta suck) Unfortunately it doesn't sound like he got an opportunity to go to Manhattan which is pretty weak considering the length and cost of transportation to get from California to New York. And having had the experience of seeing the Empire State Building, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, etc. myself, I don't think he realizes what he's missing. :o(
Alright well I have to get up for work tomorrow at 6:30, so off to bed for me.

It's been a quiet week. Ryan's been in New York for a wedding, and with Eighmee starting at UOP full time, we've been getting up at 6am and thus eating dinner and going to bed quite early. I took Eighmee to Kaiser this morning for a required pre-hire physical. All fairly uneventful. Andrew let me borrow Psi-Ops for the XBox and I've been playing that quite a bit. I beat it on normal a few days back and just started at it again on hard. It's a pretty fun game. Earlier this week I bought a replacement cabin (air conditioner) filter for the Honda Pilot. Per instructions on HondaPilot.org I was able to change it no-problem for about $22 (over the dealer replacement price of about $140). It actually went quite well considering you have to remove the glove box, and take a hack-saw to a plastic dash support-beam to get to the cabin filter. It's much easier the second time you replace it. :o)

Not much happening this past weekend. I went for a bike ride on Saturday and saw mom. She's been wanting to get new tires on her 99 Honda Civic, so I rode with her over to America's Tire on Robinhood and she got a set of new Goodyears. While they were putting them on we walked over to the Creamery across the street. She'd already eaten, but I had a half a veggie sandwich, and a bowl of split pea soup. yum. Ryan's been cracked out on Guild Wars with Andrew all weekend, and Eighm played a lotta UO. Yesterday, Sunday, I started playing Psi-Ops, an XBox game Andrews been letting us borrow, did a bit of house work, and went for a short bike ride. Late last night Andrew came over and we watched The Poltergeist which I'd bought from Walmart on Saturday for < $5. Today, just back to work.
