Merry Christmas Eve all. Eighmee and I were up 'till about 2:30 last night finishing wrapping all the presents. We went to Longs around 12:30 to get toys for the dogs up at her parents house in Valley Springs. Our living room is a freakin mess.

Today I imagine she'll be getting up around 11 or so, and we'll start getting ready, and load the car (still her mom's CRV) with presents. We'll spend around 12 to 5pm at my Grandparents (my family's classic Christmas tradition), then we'll need to return home to clean up and wrap a couple more presents before we have the gang (Kitt, Sean, Mikey, Ryan, Andrew, etc) over to exchange presents. Tomorrow, we'll head up the Valley Springs early for Christmas day, and stop at Mike and Jennifer's on the way back into town.

Okay, sounds like Eighmee's up, so time to get ready. :o)

It's Sunday, one week before Christmas. Yesterday I talked to Allstate, and they had me call Diablo Autobody who sent out a tow truck. It was the sam guy, Deane from Escalon Towing who towed Ryan's Subaru off Friday night who came back yesterday and hauled off the Pilot. It was sad.

Eighmee's parents let us borrow their CRV until our car is repaired. Last night, us along with Ryan and Andrew drove to the Arden Fair mall in Sacramento and go two more Christmas presents out of the way. We also got the required box of Cinnibons before heading to El Torito for dinner.

I want my car back. :o(

Well G'damn it... at about 9 pm this evening Eighmee, Ryan and I came home from having dinner at Tony Roma's. I parked on the street in front of Ryan's car, and we went inside for a break before planning on heading back out to see Christmas lights.
My Pilot
After about 15 minutes we were heading toward to door when we heard a loud, "Crash! --- Crash!", followed by the distinct ring of Ryan's Clifford car alarm. We all bolted outside; me trailing. I heard Ryan say, "Oh dude it's your car!". There was a white Ford Explorer sitting behind my Honda Pilot, which had it's tailgate destroyed. Shortly after Ryan realized his car was side-swiped before the Explorer pushed my 4500 lb. parked car a good ten feet forward.

A girl got out of the Explorer, and I started calling 911. A jeep stopped in the street with two guys inside. The driver got out, and "That car was driving
Ryans Subaru
irradically down March Lane swerving all over the road and median." The girl asked Eighmee, "So can I just give you my information, or what?" Just LOL. The 911 operator already knew of the "White SUV" (as reported the guy in the Jeep), and transfered us to the Stockton PD.

By the time I talked to the Stockton PD, a unit was pulling up, followed by two more. They gave the girl several brethalizers and arrested her shortly thereafter.

Well it's getting closer to Christmas, and we've been pretty busy. This past weekend we got about half of our Christmas shopping out of the way, and we've been doing a lot of prepping for a little party Eighmee is putting on this Saturday. She's decorated our Christmas tree in all pink ornaments in memory of her sister. She's been making all kinds of snack food, and says we'll be watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, and Badder Santa during the party.

Tomorrow, Friday, after work is grandpa's birthday party at Eddies. I went out today and got him some candy, and a gift certificate. It should be a pretty quiet, chill party.

In other news, Kitt got me HalfLife 2 for an early Christmas present earlier this week. I've been completely addicted. It's a fantastic game, and as a sequel, knocks the socks off of Halo 2 IMHO.

Last night we had an odd occurance. Ryan left our apartment around 11 pm and called saying there'd been a big accident at the corner of March and McGaw just down the street from us involving a big rig. Eighmee and I figured what-the-hay and locked up, and started walking toward it. There were a ton of cops, fire trucks, and evidence techs on-scene blocking the view from this side of March, including the cross-walks. We walked down to the end of the block to cross, and back near several other sight-seers. It was a newer Honda Civic that had appeared to been coming from McGaw, turning right (east) onto March when it was broadsided by a big-rig heading in the same direction. It appeared the driver was killed instantly as they were covering the body with a tarp just as we arrived. I'd assume the driver of the Civic just wasn't looking when he turned, though we haven't seen any confirmation in the Stockton Record yet. Today there were morners with candles and flowers near the intersection. Man, what a fuck-off thing to happen just before Christmas eh?

Aight it's 2:22 am, and I've got work tomorrow so I should hit the sack...
