We went and saw The Grudge tonight. Creepy ass movie very similar to The Ring. Yesterday I did a kick ass job running. I did about a 6 miler out around lake lincoln. (The Cumberland / Fourteen Mile Drive area)

First day back at work after another uneventful vacation. Saturday we had a good time at the 'Race for Awareness' in Lodi. (Breast Cancer Awareness). Eighmee's parents won medals for 'best in their division' (males and females over 60). Zack and Lauren each won medals for best in their division. I had a pretty good run myself, but no medals for me. :o( It was a 5k (3.x miles) run / walk. Eighmee walked it with Ryand and Kitt.
Okay: some good news... Eighmee just started her new job today. Jennifer called her last week saying there was a temporary position available at UOP in the deans office. We scouted it out last night, and I just dropped her off a copule hours ago. I can't wait to hear how it went today.

As I reported in the past this week, Tuesday through Friday at least, I'm taking off from work. It's Thursday, and it's been a rather uneventful week. I've been playing a bit of Fable on the XBox. We downloaded and watched I, Robot last night (great movie BTW). We had our first major bout of rain this season on Tuesday, and we've had two fire since. They've been nice and quiet and cozy. I've been making some pretty good tostadas for lunch the past couple days and last night I picked up KFC for dinner. yum. We're doing a 3 mile, Race for Breast Cancer run / walk thing in Lodi this weekend. Sounds like a bunch of our family and friends will be coming to join us. Eighmee says she plans on walking, and I'm in charge of running with Zack. I've gone on a couple run / walks this week to try and get in shape to keep up with him. Kay, back to doin' nothin. :o)

This past Saturday Eighmee and I celebrated our 10 years together. We picked up Lauren and Ryan, and headed to San Francisco for the day. When we got there it was super-packed; it was fleet week, and there were aircraft carriers and battle ships pulling into harbor. They were doing aerobatic air-shows every two hours or so. We considered going to Alcatraz, however they were booked through the weekend. So we watched the planes for a bit, then hopped back in the car and started heading south to avoid the congestion of the city. We drove down to Half Moon Bay again, which is becoming a bit of a ritual for us. We frolicked on the beach for an hour or so getting our pants soaked and filled with sand. Then after heading back to the car and brushing off and putting our shoes back on we walk around on the cliffs that hung over the beach there hoping our pants would dry a bit faster. Around 5 or so, we jumped back in the car and drove north stopping and having dinner at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. I had the Penne pasta, Eighmee and Ryan had burgers, and Lauren had some Calimari. We fueled up, and got some Starbucks after dinner and dropped Laurn off around 9:30pm. Ryan had been in dire need of supplies, so we stopped in the Walmart in Lodi before finally heading home. Over all, a fantastic day.
Sunday was Andrew's birthday. After the busy Saturday we slept in and hadn't put much effort into it. Around 4 we headed to BestBuy and got him a $50 gift card and a card. We hung out at his place most of the night. Mostly outside just chatting with Mikey who's been living in Reno recently. Kitt and Sean showed up, and Gus (Andrews dad) said food was on. We had tri-tip, huge chicken breasts, pasta salad, potato salad, and garlic bread. Good stuff. :o) Kitt r0xxord all the food. Andrew got a bunch of gift cards and cd's and stuff. We had cake and were done for the night. T3h end.
