Let me recall...

This past Thursady when I got home from work we were planning on going to a movie, but my brother called saying that Alex had been in a car accident and he was heading to Dameron hospital. He wanted us to go and watch the baby while they were with Alex. We complied and headed over with Ryan. Alex was in good shape considering, other than a banged up leg and ankle. She hit the left side of someone in an old truck who was trying to make a U-turn but didn't check that the road was clear. Her car was totaled. He didn't have insurance, but I imagine their insurance should cover everything. We were only at the hospital for a few minutes before she was released, and we headed home to regroup for our movie outting. Eighmee, Ryan, Andrew and I went to the City Center Theater and saw Open Water. It was a terribly depressing film but not a bad one.

Then Friday Eighmee, Ryan and I headed to Susie's house in Lodi for some computer repair work. Her Outlook Express e-mail client wasn't working properly. I'm no good with Macs but I managed to get her mail working none the less. She cooked up some Papa Murphy's pizza as a reward. :o)

The remainder or the weekend was pretty mundane. I bought The Apprentice Saturday night and we watched several episodes with Andrew and Ryan. I picked up a bit of KFC for dinner.

Sunday, yesterday, I slept in and Eighmee got up early to camp a castle that was IDOC (in danger of collapsing) in UO. As luck would have it she beat everyone to the punch and was able to place a castle there when it fell. So we're now proud owners of a Keep, a Tower, a Castle, and L shape house, a small neighboring garden house, a large customized garden shop, and Mikey's old customized house. Eighmee was glowing with shock all day over the achievement. Ryan came over after washing his car, and I watched The Thing while he and Eighmee played on the computers. We ordered pizza from Domino's, and I destroyed an order of their bread sticks w/ marinara sauce with a small glass of Tequila to wash it down. Later Andrew came over and we watched the Shining on DVD until about 3 a.m.

Today it's back to the grind. I spent some time showing Kur, the new guy some of how we have our websites and related databases setup. I worked a bit on automated letter templates in DRE, etc, etc, etc. Went home for lunch for pizza leftovers, and that's about it. G'day!

I got up damn early today, around 6 a.m. to take the car to Stockton Honda for a transmission recall. Ryan met me over there and gave me a ride to work. Shelli, Alex, and I just walked across the street to AMPM for coffee. I opted for some Sobe Green Tea; It's gonna be another scorcher today at 97F. The HealthTrio implementation continues to go good. We were in meetings almost all day yesterday, but everyone is being fairly productive toward success. I've started reading Interview with a Vampire, the first Anne Rice book I've ever read. I'm on page 83, or thereabouts and it's been quite good so far. Tuesday night Eighmee and I watched the movie. Last night Andrew came over and Eighmee and him watched Dead Calm. I read a bit and hit the sack early to drop off the car this morning. About a week ago I finished Doom 3. It was a great game and I stormed through it in about 3 days. I tried the multiplayer, but it was pretty weak, and as much fun as I had beating it, I don't see myself replaying it any time soon.

Man, it's been a while since I last blogged, but I don't really have much to report. This past weekend Eighmee, Ryan, Mikey, Andrew and I went to the City Center Cinema to see M. Knight Shamalan's (sp) The Village. Pretty cool movie. Work has still been pretty hectic with the HealthTrio implementation. We still haven't hired anyone to replace Tim which sucks. I believe next week we start the interviews. I've been pretty out of shape recently having worked late most evenings. Just these past two nights I've gotten out for ~3 mile runs each night. Okay my DTS package crashed: "Violation of primary key constraint 'PK_DREEligibility'.", so I gotta go. :o)
