Me crashed

It's been a busy week at work, but today was the start of a good weekend. Today Eighmee and I got up relatively early and jumpped on Ultima Online to camp some IDOC's (Decaying houses that drop their content for others to loot). Afterwards Eighmee went back to bed, and I cleaned up the apartment a bit, then played a couple hours of Rallycross 2 on XBox. She got up later and Ryan came over. I made some grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch then crashed on the couch playing some games on my cell phone before crashing for a bit. A couple hours later Eighmee woke me up and said we were gonna hook up with Kitt, Andrew and Mikey and go to Red Lobster for dinner. We had a great dinner and just got back home. We're probably gonna watch Volcano or some other movie before crashing.

Tim and I were the only programmers working yesterday. We had a pretty chill day. We both came in late and headed to Gordito Burrito for breakfast and some Starbucks. We spent the bulk of the day working on a DHS report Jerry'd gave us. I was so full from the breakfast I never even took a lunch. Later that afternoon we found Shelli's Nerf dart gun and took turns shooting the target off the others head. Great fun. :o) After work, Eighmee, Ryan and I went to Smartfoods and bought groceries for the week, and BBQ last night. We got home and I prepped the BBQ, while Eighmee put away the groceries and Ryan marinated the Tri-Tip. I came in and filet-cut the chicken and bathed it in Teriaki sauce. We had a great dinner. Afterward I got drunk out of my skull on a Smirnoff Ice, Wine, Tequila, and Brandy. We then started watching Johnny English which we never quite finished. I slept it off and so far have had a productive morning cleaning up and playing Unreal Tournament 2004.

Yesterday, Ryan's broter Scott was out working doing yard/lawn care around 9:30am. He was edging, or otherwise standing with his back to his co-worker who was mowing the yard when the mower picked up a piece of metal wire, about 2-3 inches long and shot it into Scott's back. He said it felt as if he'd been shot. External observation showed only a small hole in his shirt and a small puncture wound that was bleeding a bit. After some time he began having trouble breathing, and his crew got him to an Occupational Therapy facility where they did xrays, and sent him to St. Josephs Hospital. There he learned the piece of wire had punctured his lung, colapsing it, and somehow traveled up lodging in his shoulder. At the E.R. they had to insert a tube though his ribs to re-inflate his lung. A painful, but effective procedure.

It was late before his parents, and Ryan learned the severity of his injury, as he'd called once from the OT facility just saying he was "at the doctors", not till later (around 3-4pm), saying "I'm at the hospital, and they're putting a tube in my lung." Slightly different messages. hehe The doctors had been unsure, and even now continue to be unsure if the need to go into his shoulder to remove the wire.

After work yesterday Eighmee, Ryan and I all went to St. Joes to visit. Eighmee and I talked with his parents in the E.R. waiting room for quite some time while Ryan was in with him. At the time they were taking him to have a CT scan to get more exact poistioning of where the wire had lodged. He was admitted until the doc's could decide what needed to be done.

More to come on this...

Sunday was a super-lazy day. Slept in. Ryan came over. We watched a bit of E.R. Then I watched the first half of Cheech & Chongs Up In Smoke. Ryan and I installed Unreal Tournament 2004 which he won with his new video card at E3, and we played that until about 11:30 or so. Today: back to the grind. :o/

Today we slept in. Ryan came over about noon, then Kitt, and we headed to Turlock in the Pilot to pickup some car parts that Ryan had ordered from the Subaru dealership. Some stock floormats, and a part to secure the spare tire that was missing when he purchased his car. We headed straight back to Stockton where we all had lunch at The Creamery then came home. We've been lazy for a while; a few minutes ago Eighmee and Ryan put on the original Batman movie, and I went to Baskin Robins for a bit of ice cream.

It's been a cool week. Ryan's been at E3 with Kitt and Sean from Tuesday thru today (Friday). I took Tuesday and Thursday off from work. It's just been really chill. Yesterday Andrew came over and he, Eighmee and I all went out an played miniature golf at Golfland here in Stockton. I won. :o) Today was their last day at E3 and Ryan won a new Nvidia GeForce FX5800 ($210 video card). He recently came by and installed it in his computer. Very cool win. Not sure what this weekend holds. Peace out...

Long effin weekend: I don't remember Friday, but Saturday morning at about 5:45am my mom called me from Mike's cell phone saying that Jennifer was at Dameron Hospital about to give birth. Her moaning in the background was quite apparent. We had a bunch of shit planned for that day, but this took precedent. I scraped myself out of bed and got cleaned up, and headed to the hospital. Grandma and grandpa were in the waiting room. My mom was in the delivery room with Mike, and Alex. Mom made a handful of trips out to let us know what was going on. Only about 45 minutes later Mom and then Mike came out saying, "I'm a new dad!" All went well: Isabella Jane Wallace was born May 8, at 7:45 am, 8 lbs, 1 oz, and 20 inches long. Grandpa and I went in to see her, then mom and grandma.

Soon after I left the hospital with grandma and grandpa. I got home soon enough that it didn't affect our plans for the day. Eighmee was watching E.R. We got cleaned up, and Kitt and Ryan were over. About 9:30 we headed out to Turlock for Kitt to drop off his Subaru for service. Ryan, Kitt and Sean are headed to E3 in LA next week.

The four of us Piloted back up the Modesto and hit the Vintage Faire mall to scout for Mother's Day cards, DVD's, etc. We ate a bit of lunch there in the malls eatery, then headed back to Turlock to pick up Kitt's car around 2 pm.

From there we returned to Stockton, took a minute of break at home before heading to SmartFoods to pick up some flowers for Jennifer. Then Eighmee, Ryan, and I headed to Dameron to visit her. It was all very nice seeing the baby again for the second time that day. We stayed for about 45 minutes, before we left. From there we headed to Target to pick up a Shiet Load of flowers for Mothers Day (3:30-5:30) which we dropped off at home before heading back out to The Creamery for dinner, then SmartFoods for groceries, and food to take to Susie's for Mothers Day.

After SmartFoods we finally got settled in at home around 11; Kitt and Sean came over. They all started watching the movie The Cell. I personally was done for the day. I showered, then hit the sack, and started reading the book, A Perfect Mind. Saturday was an expensive day at about $250 for me, and $100 for Eighmee.

Sunday

This morning we slept in till about 11:30. We got up and cleaned up pretty quick before heading to my grandparents for Mothers Day dinner. We had filet mignon and foot-long hotdogs, tado salad, etc. It was gramma, grampa, me, eighmee, marsha, then later, bessy, justin (and his brother greg). Later Mike and Alex came over with a bunch of pics on his digital camera. Mom and grandma LOVED the flowers we bought them. We stayed there until about 3pm, before heading home.

After a quick break, we loaded up the car again and headed to Susie's house in Lodi. It was the usual crowd there. We had more good eats of Tritip, and chicken, scalloped tados, etc. Zack, Ryan and I played a good amount of Halo. I fixed their computer (like many times before). Overall we had a relatively good time.

We just got back home now. Eighmee and Ryan popped in a movie. I'll be retiring soon to bed. Work tomorrow. Beh. :o)

Wuzzuhhh.. Aight so Firday after work I picked up Eighmee and Ryan and we went to my Uncle Eddie's for a birthday party for my mom. Grandma, Grandpa, Mike, Jennifer and Alex were all there as well. Jennifer is uber pregnant and is about to pop. She literally could have it any day now.

Eighmee at Half Moon Bay

Saturday Eighmee, Ryan, Kitt, and I piled into the Pilot and went to San Francisco for the WonderCon comic book expo as we have for the past 4 or 5 years. It was a pretty good show, though not much different than any of the prior ones. This coming from a guy who doesn't particularly care for comic books, but just goes to be with Eighmee, and to check out all the other weirdo's there. hehe

After the expo, it was about 2pm or so and we headed south down the San Francisco penninsula on highway one. Mostly just chillin, but passively looking for a place for lunch, or a cool beach to chill at for a bit. About an hour later we stumbled upon the Halfmoon Bay Brewery Co., we all agreed and stopped in for lunch. We all had huge burgers and Kitt and I indulged in their homemade brew. It was a great place with a great view of the Pacific.

After eats we continued south down 1 another 20 or 30 minutes until we spotted a beach that wasn't overly populated. We chilled out on the sand for a good hour and a half. Eighmee collected sea shells fragments, sand dollars, and sea glass. Ryan climbed the sand walls, and Kitt just sorta milled about in the wake. We had a great time and headed back to Stockton across the San Mateo bridge.

After we got home we watched an episode of E.R. for the Season 2 box set Eighmee had just bought, then the four of us piled back into the Pilot and headed to Walmart in Lodi for our weekly supplies. We got back home around 1:30 am, and Kitt and Ryan took off. Eighmee and I watched another two episodes of E.R. before hitting the sack to end a very long, but very fun day. :o)
