Last week I got out and cycled every evening from Wednesday through Friday and was feeling pretty pumped, however by Friday I felt a cold coming on. I was looking forward to riding more all weekend but the cold went full blown and I stayed in all weekend. I guess it wasn't really a cold perse, but more like allergies from being outside a lot last week. I'm feeling significantly better, though not normal, today (Monday). I just registed for this years Top Hat Classic bike tour though Pleasanton which is going on April 24th, and is the reason I've been riding a lot more recently. In the past we've riden the 25-mile'r, but it sounds like this year we'll be having the ladies along and only be riding 10 miles.

It rained yesterday and I didn't get a chance to get back out cycling. We stayed in and made a fire and had a nice evening at home. It's cloudy but mild out today. It was Alejandro's 29th birthday today. We toook him to Chili's for lunch.

Not too much happenin. I took the car in on Saturday for the 15,000 maintenance. No biggie. We've got the Top Hat Classic yearly bike ride in Pleasanton that the MIS department at work has done for the past couple year coming up late April. I took my bike in for a tune up Sunday as the petals were skipping forward every three or so revolutions. It's working a bit better, but they didn't totally fix it. I've taken it out riding a couple times in the evenings after work None-the-less it's great to be back riding again. I think I'm just going to need to teach myself the art of cable adjustment. :o/

well it's hard to top an elvis costello concert in a blog, but i gotta blog sometime don't i? :o) It's actually been a pretty lazy week so far (it's the thursday after my b-day). saturday eighmee, ryan andrew, sean, kitt, mikey and i went to shi ra soni's for a birthday dinner. it was pretty effin good, and i indulged in 3 small servings of sake. eighmee drove home, than that followed with a small glass of brandy. I popped in a red hot chili peppers dvd which we watched all night, and mikey continued to serve me shot after shot of alcoholic goodness. needless to say it was a bit difficult to get up sunday morning to get ready for my third birthday party; the family put together a little bbq at my grandparents. eighmee and I got there at about noon. we had hotdogs and hamburgers and such. I got a few presents and had some good fun. Since then it's been a quite week at work. unfortunately eighmee's taken a bit ill since the weekend. she's been really congested, stuffed up and achey. I've come home that past couple days for lunch to take care of here. today she had me pick up some tylenol, on the way home. tonight kitt and ryan are over, and seans coming over soon after work to watch The Apprentice. okay peace out till next time yo...

well it was my 27th birthday yesterday. i had a pretty good time. i went to work around 9:30, and the crew took me out to lunch at the graduate around 11:30am. at around 3:45 I left work and headed to mike's to pick him up to see an Elvis Costello concert at the luthar burbank theater of arts in santa rosa. this was a good 150mi, 2.5 hour drive. the theater was extremely small, and though we were in the back of the balcony, we had an extremely good view. the show had elvis singing and playing guitar, and his old mate from the Attractions played piano though the whole show. the audience was awesome and there was dead silence during most of his performance. he did four encores. most of his material was slow and off of his latest album North, but he played a few good old hits such as 'peach love and understanding', and 'pump it up'. from the concert i have learned that i'm the only human being under 30 who like Elvis though. hehe. anyways, it was bad ass, and it was over by 10:40. after dropping mike off, it was about 1 am before i made it home, had some pizza and a beer, and crashed. ~ good birthday. :o)

Last week was fairly uneventful. Saturday Eighmee, and Kitt went with Ryan to Turlock to have his 15,000 mile maintenance done on his car, during which we had lunch at IHOP in Modesto. His car was done very quickly so we went to pick it up after lunch. They mentioned that after the tire rotation, one of the wheels was damaged, and the steering wheel was shaking around 45 mph. WTF right? Well, we returned to Stockton, and Ryan took his car to America's Tire on Pacific. They found that two of the wheels were 'extremely out of balance' by about 3 oz. They re-balanced for $40 and all was groovy. Kind of a pain, but it turned out for the best. Sunday was a lazy day: got up, threw a log on the fire, played some games, got the car gassed up and washed, did a little grocery shopping, went to Best Buy and bought 'The Sound of Music' on DVD and Eighmee and I watched it through the afternoon. The academy awards were on just after at about 5:00 pm which we watched. Lord of the Rings received every Oscar they were nominated for. Good show. Ryan and Andrew were over for the Oscars and bailed shortly after. Eighmee and I watched Proof of Life at about midnight and didn't get to bed till around 3 or so.
