Sunday I got up fairly early, and received two calls. The first was from my mom who wanted me to come over and help her clean her rain gutters on the house that day. The second was from Eighmee's mom who wanted us to go up to Valley Springs and help them move a new Lazyboy recliner into their house that they had just bought. We obliged and I helped my mom first, then, afterwards, we headed up the Valley Springs...

Since then it's just been work as normal. Ryan and I are getting into playing a new game called DeusEx 2 on PC, and last night Eighmee, Ryan and I all went to the mall to go shopping. I got some new clothes from Gotshalks, and Eighmee bought some stuff from Lane Bryant with gift certificates she got from her birthday.

Friday we walked to Red Lobster (a couple blocks from our apartment), and ate, and got fucked up for eighmee's birthday. It was eighmee, ryan, mikey, andrew, and i. I bought dinner and drinks for all. Afterwards we stumbled back home, and got even more fucked up polishing off a bottle of Jack Daniels, a little rum, a little tequila, and a little brandy. I crashed early, and everyone else took off after they sobered up.

Saturday we had a more formal party for eighmee at our place. We had all our friends over, as well as eighmee's parents for a while. I went and picked up De Vinci's raviolies, and a couple pies from Marie Calendars. We all had good eats, and eighmee's parents watched 'The Life of David Gale'. Later on that evening, after her parents left, I lit a fire and we all piled around the tv and watched 'Freddy vs. Jason' to round out the night.

Sunday I went to Eighmee's niece Sarah's house and tried to fix her internet connection problems to no avail. Her computer was riddled with malware most of which was cleaned up by Ad Aware, but I had to do a lot of additional clean up (editing the registry, and whatnot) Unfortunately I wasn't able to get her back online. I told her to call up Comcast and see if they could recommend anything. Five hours (almost) down the drain. Beh. I got a free beer out of it though. :o) Afterwards, I stopped at mom's place on the way home. She needed some help rearanging the garage, as the artificial christmas tree was starting to block the path of the garage door. After a little strongarm labor I returned home.

Monday was a holiday (MLK day). Eighmee and I did abso-fuckin'-lutely-nuthin. Played some UO. I fell asleep in front of the fireplace. That pretty much summed it up.

Yesterday it was rough coming back into work after a nice three day weekend, but we've been busy so it's kept the time moving along quite well. Tim's back at work and it's been generally pretty productive. Allright peace out...

Not too much happenin'... Eighmee's been enjoying her time off work, and has gotten back into Ultima Online again. I ordered a new DVD update for the navigation system in the pilot yesterday for $185. Umm... Tim's gone on vacation to Carlsbad, Ca for the week. Alejandro is back from vacation, as he went back to Nicaragua last week to visit familiy. Actually, it was pretty funny, he got his braces off today, and is having a lot of trouble speaking with his new retainer. Eighmee's birthday is on Friday, and she still hasn't decided what she want's to do. We'll probably just have a small party on Saturday. I took her shopping at to the mall last week for clothes for her b-day. ...and hmm, that's about it. :o)

Not much happening today... Eighmee says the ants are nearly under control. Had lunch with Tim at the Creamery today. We finally got word from Alejandro who's visiting his folks in Nicaragua this week. He e-mailed us from an Internet cafe in Granada. I gotta take the Pilot into Honda tomorrow for recall service (timing belt tensioner, and SRS reprogramming). Eighmee and I had dinner at Red Lobster again last night with Andrew and Ryan. No one was really hungery in the first place, but it was fun. I was over-stuffed all night after having a burrito from Gordito Burrito for lunch. Pat and Sean came over later last night to BS. I've been working a little bit of OT recently due to lots of activity at work. That's about it for now...

Argh, we've been overrun by ants! About a month ago we had a small stream of them coming down our bathroom door, and into the bathroom, to the shower/tub where it appeared they were attracted to some mildew like stuff they found in the rail of the shower door. After a couple small bouts, they were gone.

Over the weekend we noticed them in our kitchen coming down the cupboards and onto the outlet / garbage disposal switch. We'd clean em up, but they kept coming back. Monday, yesterday, I came into work, and was called early by Eighmee telling me that she had to take everything out of the cupboards, because there were ants everywhere. And there were. Eighmee and Ryan had them pretty well cleaned up by the time I got home yesterday, but none-the-less I bought a box of "Torro" brand liquid ant traps (Sodium Tetraboraxide). Within minutes of putting it on the stove, there were quite a few ant all over it. Within an hour, there was a horde coming in streams out of the cupboards to the trap, and returning home. As of this morning, and when I just went home for lunch, they're still coming non-stop.

Hopefully this shit kicks their ass. Okay back to work...

It's the new year! 2004 is here. We had a pretty good party at our apartment last night. I worked yesterday, but management came by around 4pm and kicked us all out. I'd come home during lunch and helped Eighmee clean the place up (which she did extremely well). Then after work, when I got home she had me go pickup Andrew and Mikey, then I got to be the lucky one to clean the bathroom. :o) Sean and Kitt were over by the time I brought Mikey back, and Ryan was off work at Software Etc and over around 7pm. We listened to music (mp3's on the computer) and played some Halo. Well we played lots of Halo. :o) Sam and Jenica came over around 7:30 or 8 o'clock. Eighmee and Ryan BS'ed with them for quite a while. We all indulged in all the great eats that Eighmee'd made. I especially like the 7-layer dip (beans, salsa, sour cream, guacomole, cheese, and olives (I'm missing one layer :o) Kitt and Andrew destroyed the shrimp and cocktail sauce. Not a supirse after they each ate 104 shrimp during our outing at Red Lobster on Monday. Just after eight we all crashed in front of the tv, and watched "The Order" on DVD that Eighmee had picked up yesterday. A pretty good, but odd movie that ended around ten, at which time Sam and Jenica had to leave for another party. More Halo ensued... lol. And around 11:30 Eighmee and Kitt went to Krispy Kremes for coffee, chocolate milk, and donuts. By 11:45 we were all watching Dick Clark "Live in New York" where the ball had dropped three hours prior. We all poured a glass of Cooks champeign (sp), except Andrew had a Sunkist orange soda (lol), and we toasted in the new year. Eighmee put on "Sex and the City" season five and the gang all eventually made it back to the couch to watch that, I was ready for bed before the first episode was over. A glass of wine, two beers and two small glasses of champeign kept me lazy all night. I hit the sack, and that was it for 2003. :o)
