Monday Oct 27: Just had a pretty cool / chill weekend. On Friday we went to the Del Osso Farms Pumpkin Corn Maze in Lathrop, Ca. After which we went to the Stadium 12 Theater in Lodi, Ca to see the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Saturday and Sunday Eighmee worked. Saturday I got a bit of cleanup done around the house. Sunday I washed the car and went and saw mom after taking Eighmee to work. Mom was visiting with ex-neighbors who used to live next door who came by to visit. She's doing pretty well, and school is keeping her busy. Eighmee's been sick the past week or so. She was originally achey, coughie, and chillie, but it's since turned to just real bad, deep coughs. She has the day off today, so hopefully she'll recover, although she was coughing real bad this morning. Maybe some bronchitis (sp). I just got a new Elvis Costello album recently, North, and it's been the theme music to my daily life for the past couple weeks. In other news, HPSJ, my work, is sending Alex (a friend/co-worker) and I to the Comdex computer expo in Las Vegas next month, which I'm sure is bound to be a blast. Ok, enough for now.

Hasta La Vista Davis. Yesterday afternoon I went to the local voting place, an "old folks home" in my area, to participate in the California governor recall election, then, after work, I had Spanish class. Following class, while walking out to my car, I got a message on my cell phone stating "Davis out, Schwarzenegger in" California's new governor is the fuckin' Terminator. After getting home from school last night I read a little more about it on Google News and I remember laughing out loud at the simple prospect that we just fired our Governor of n years, and elected the Terminator, who has no political experience what-so-ever as governor. It blows my mind. Not that I'm complaining. I voted for him. Personally, I would have liked to see senator Tom McClintock (R) win. I think he was a much better candidate, however Schwarzenegger was so much stronger in the polls he didn't really have a chance. At the risk of seeing Cruz Bustamonte (D) in office, I think Schwarzenegger will do just fine. :o)

In other news, school is doing good. I recent bought a new computer, or rather put one together. It's an AMD 2600 CPU, 512 Mb RAM, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro video card w/ 256 Mb video ram. It's a pretty nice machine. It purchase coincided with the Microsoft release of the game Halo for PC (originally of XBox fame). Needless to say, Ryan and I have been putting hours-upon-hours into this game. Grandma Lila just got out of the hospital after having her second knee replacement surgery. I hear she's doing real well. Healthtrio installation continues at work. And well, that's just about all the news I can recall for now.

ps- Oh yeah, tomorrow is Eighmee and my nine year together anniversary. Unfortunately we both work, and I have Spanish class tomorrow night, but today we're going out to lunch together around 1pm to Tony Roma's.
