I got paid today, and I'm just about broke again.
I got the windshield fixed on the Pilot today. It was $45.
I paid Eighmee to pay her friend Alex for the LCD projector we decided to buy off him for $400.
Along with this being rent time ($775) == suXXors.
Ah well, life is good: At least I can buy $400 projectors and complain about it... :o)

Thought:
What is it about life that makes us start to not-give-a-damn as we get older?

This one needs some thought.

Last night we watched a movie. I'm not sure of the exact title, and I don't feel like looking it up on imdb.com. It was something like "The life of David Gale", where David Gale was a dude on death row for murder for which he was innocent. He said something interesting to the gest of: We spend millions on technology trying to outrun death. But as we age, we start to lose interest, and imagination, and creativity. We have no idea what happens when we die. Perhaps death is a gift to allow us to escape this loss if immagination. *shrugs*

Tues July 22, 2003. Not much specific going on. They're re-roofing our apartment complex, so we woke up to lots of walking above our heads this morning. Sunday we spent lots of $$$ at Home Depot and Target on house stuff. We got a bunch of plant pots, Eighmee got a couple Orchids, etc. I got some liquid enamel to fix some chips in our kitchen sink. Stuff like that. Eighmee's computer crashed Sunday night, so I was up until 2:30am reinstalling Windows 2000 pro, and all the normal crap. Yesterday, I had to take the pilot in for regular scheduled 10,000 mile maintenance. On the way there, heading north on 99, I caught a rock to the windshield and got a divot a bit larger than a quarter inch on the passenger side. I was pretty bummed, I'll have to have someone come out and fill the chip. Hopefully it can be repaired. The maintenance was relatively cheap (for Stockton Honda at least) at $140, and went well. Last night Eighmee, Ryan, Kitt, Sean, and I all piled into the Pilot and went to Walmart in Lodi for normal supplies. In other news, Mike and Jennifer just got back from a trip they took to Hawaii. I'm not sure of the details of the trip, but I'm sure Jennifer will have a ton of pics, etc., we'll hear about. Arright, good enough for now. -d

We had a busy night last night. I got home from work, and Eighmee and Ryan got home about a half hour later. They immediately said we were meeting Tony at Carrows for dinner. On the way we picked up Mikey, and Kitt ended up meeting us there. We had good food and good chats. During conversation we decided we wanted to go see a movie last night, 28 days later..., which had just opened. My brother, Mike, and Jen had got to see it and said it was a pretty good horror flick. So with Eighmee, Kitt, Ryan, and Mikey in the car, we went and picked up Sean, and Chris (~ Pilot was fully loaded) and went to Brendan Stadium 12 Theater in Lodi, to start the movie aroung 10:20pm. It was a good, tweaked out, british movie. After the movie, and dropping everyone off, we got home around one and Eighmee and I immediately crashed for the night. T'was a busy, fairly expensive night.
